The Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB) has announced the commencement of its recruitment exercise for qualified teachers across the state.

In a statement by its Executive Chairman, the Board revealed that the recruitment drive received the approval of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the quality of education in Lagos.

“With the kind approval of Mr Governor, the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board, LASUBEB, hereby announces the activation of its application portal for interested and qualified candidates who are ready to contribute to the delivery of quality education in the state,” the statement read.

Application Process

The application is strictly online through https://subebjobs.lagosstate.gov.ng. Physical submissions will not be accepted.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must possess any of the following qualifications:

Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE)

B.A (Ed), B.Sc (Ed), or B.Ed

HND + PGDE

B.A + PGDE or B.Sc + PGDE

M.Ed / M.Sc (Ed)

In addition, candidates are required to upload:

O’ Level Certificate (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB)

NCE or Degree Certificate

NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate (where applicable)

The Board stressed that notifications or statements of results issued more than two years ago will not be accepted.

Available Position and Deadline

The only advertised role at this stage is Classroom Teacher. The application deadline is October 13, 2025, with the portal officially closing on October 14, 2025.

LASUBEB further emphasized that the recruitment process is free of charge and warned applicants to beware of fraudsters.
