LAGOS POLICE LAUNCH MANHUNT FOR TWO MEN OVER ALLEGED N115M FRAUD

The Lagos State Police Command has declared two men wanted over their alleged involvement in a fraud case involving N115 million.

The suspects, identified as Tomiloye Sunday and Oloyede Olowoyo, were declared wanted by the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba, following allegations that they conspired with other individuals who are still at large to obtain the money from a complainant under false pretences.

Separate wanted notices for the two men were issued by the Nigeria Police Force on Tuesday as investigators intensified efforts to locate them and unravel the circumstances surrounding the alleged financial crime.

According to the police, Sunday is wanted over allegations bordering on conspiracy, fraud, forgery, impersonation and obtaining money under false pretences. The command alleged that he worked with other suspects who have yet to be arrested to fraudulently obtain N115 million from the complainant.

The police further alleged that Olowoyo was involved in the same N115 million fraud case. His wanted notice listed conspiracy, obtaining money by false pretences and conduct likely to cause a breach of the peace among the allegations against him.

The command said both men allegedly acted alongside other individuals who remain at large in obtaining the money from the complainant through false representations. Police authorities are therefore seeking information that could lead to their arrest and assist investigators in establishing the full circumstances of the alleged transaction.

The police provided physical descriptions of the two suspects in their notices. Sunday, whose last known address was in Ikorodu, Lagos, was described as a short, medium-built man with a round face, upturned nose, small mouth, thin lips and dark complexion. He was also said to be bald.

Olowoyo, whose last known address was given as Commercial Avenue, Highway Barracks, Sabo, Lagos, was described as heavy-built, with a round face, long pointed nose, medium-sized mouth, thick lips, prominent eyes and a light complexion.

The Lagos State Police Command appealed to members of the public who may have information about the whereabouts of either suspect to assist the investigation by contacting the nearest police station.

Information can also be provided directly to the State Criminal Investigation Department on Musiliu Smith Street, Panti, Yaba, Lagos. The command provided 07073457317 as a contact number for members of the public who can assist in locating the suspects.

The latest development comes as the Lagos police continue to pursue suspects linked to major criminal offences across the state. The command has repeatedly urged residents to provide credible information that could assist security agencies in apprehending wanted persons.

Police authorities have not indicated that the two suspects have been convicted of any offence. The allegations against them remain subject to investigation, while investigators are expected to establish the circumstances surrounding the alleged N115 million transaction and identify other individuals who may have been involved.

The police are now seeking the assistance of the public in locating Sunday and Olowoyo as investigations into the alleged fraud continue.
