Twin brothers from Isale Eko, Lagos Island, Taiwo and Kehinde Ajitokewu, have distinguished themselves at Lagos State University after recording notable academic achievements at the institution’s 29th and 30th combined convocation ceremonies.

The brothers both graduated from the Department of Science and Technology Education in the Faculty of Education. Taiwo completed his studies with First-Class honours in Biology Education, while his twin brother, Kehinde, emerged as the Best Graduating Student in Computer Science Education.

Their achievement came as LASU graduated a total of 20,604 students across the 2024/2025 and 2025/2026 academic sessions. Of the graduates, 494 students obtained First-Class honours, with 262 recording the feat in the 2024/2025 session and another 232 in the 2025/2026 academic session.

Reflecting on their university journey, Taiwo said their path was initially uncertain but was sustained by determination and consistency. He explained that although some people questioned their choice of courses, the brothers remained focused on identifying opportunities and making the most of their education.

Beyond their academic performances, the twins also accumulated several other achievements during their undergraduate years. Their accomplishments included two national scholarships, more than four local scholarships, international recognitions and two professional mentorships.

Taiwo described their success as a product of steadfastness and consistency, while also highlighting his twin brother's achievement as the Best Graduating Student in Computer Science Education. Their story has since attracted attention as an example of academic excellence and determination among young Nigerian graduates
