Former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Lagos State, Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, has declared that he brings more experience to the 2027 governorship race than other potential aspirants.

Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Thursday, Jandor acknowledged that all the names being speculated for the governorship — including President Bola Tinubu’s son, Seyi Tinubu, former Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, and Senator Tokunbo Abiru — are qualified to contest.

However, he stressed that, unlike them, he has already been tested at the ballot.

“Okay, so all the names that you have mentioned, they are all qualified to be governor of Lagos, including Seyi himself. But aside from the former governor you mentioned, none of them has actually been on the ballot as governorship candidates aside from myself,” Jandor said.

He added: “So, I come with that experience — the experience of someone who has gone through the process single-handedly without any political godfather or heavy backing.”

Jandor, who contested the 2023 Lagos governorship election under the PDP, insisted that his political journey has given him unique exposure and resilience that he believes sets him apart ahead of 2027.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
