LA LIGA: BELLINGHAM CLOSE TO NEW REAL MADRID CONTRACT – REPORT
Jude Bellingham is reportedly set to extend his stay at Real Madrid, with a new agreement expected to keep him at the club until June 2031.
According to Spanish newspaper AS, discussions between the England midfielder and the club have reached a positive conclusion.
Bellingham’s existing contract runs until 2029, meaning the reported agreement would add two years to his stay.
The new terms are also expected to include a pay rise in recognition of his performances and importance to Madrid’s long-term plans.
The midfielder joined the Spanish giants from Borussia Dortmund in 2023 and quickly established himself as a major figure in the team.
Reports suggest Madrid also value his willingness to take responsibility on and off the pitch, viewing him as a potential leader within the squad.
However, the extension had not been officially announced in the reports reviewed. The proposed expiry date and improved terms therefore remain reported details pending confirmation from the club.
If confirmed, the agreement would strengthen Madrid’s commitment to building around one of their key midfielders.
