KWARA APC LEADERS BACK ABDULRAZAQ, REJECT MUSTAPHA’S DEFECTION
Several leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress in Kwara State have dismissed the defection of Senator Saliu Mustapha and reaffirmed their support for Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq ahead of the 2027 elections.
The development comes amid growing political realignments within the state’s APC as politicians and party members position themselves ahead of the 2027 governorship contest.
The party leaders maintained that Mustapha’s departure would not weaken the APC or undermine the governor’s political standing in the state.
They also expressed confidence in AbdulRazaq’s leadership, urging party members and supporters to remain united and focused as the party prepares for the next election cycle.
The latest development further highlights the growing political contest within Kwara APC, particularly over succession and the direction of the party ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
