KWANKWASO: OBI SIGNED ONE-TERM PRESIDENCY ACCORD
Former Kano State Governor, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has claimed that the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, signed an agreement to serve only one term in office if elected president.
Kwankwaso made the revelation on Tuesday while addressing his supporters in Kano, stating that the accord was part of pre-election discussions among opposition leaders.
“Peter Obi willingly signed a one-term presidency agreement. This is a fact known to those who were involved in the process,” he said.
The assertion has sparked mixed reactions, with Obi’s supporters quickly dismissing the claim as unfounded and politically motivated.
As the 2027 presidential race heats up, political analysts believe such revelations could reshape alliances and strategies among major opposition figures.
Kwankwaso, who is widely regarded as a key political figure in Northern Nigeria, used the opportunity to reaffirm his commitment to national development and good governance.
The Peter Obi camp is yet to issue an official response to the allegation. (
