Police in Kogi State have successfully rescued two women who were abducted nearly a month ago from Irewagere Fulani Camp in Adavi Local Government Area.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama reported on Monday that the victims, Safara Yakubu and Habibat Aminu, both 25 years old and of Fulani descent, were kidnapped on November 3, 2025, around 11:00 p.m.
According to Makama, the Divisional Police Officer of Osara, acting on credible intelligence, deployed a team that located and rescued the women along the Osara-Oshokoshoko Obajana Forest on Sunday at approximately 2:00 p.m.
The rescued women are currently receiving medical care at a local health facility, while police continue their investigation into the abduction.
