KEPSA AND FACTORIAL CONVENE BUSINESS LEADERS TO DRIVE AI-POWERED WORKPLACE
The Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) has partnered with Factorial, a global HR and business management software company, to help Kenyan businesses embrace artificial intelligence in the workplace. The collaboration was launched during a high-level members’ breakfast meeting in Nairobi, where business leaders gathered to discuss practical ways AI can transform how companies manage people and operations.
The partnership focuses on moving Kenyan companies away from slow, paper-based HR processes toward smarter, AI-driven systems. Factorial’s all-in-one platform helps businesses handle payroll, recruitment, employee records, time tracking, and performance management more efficiently.
A major highlight of the initiative is Factorial’s USD 10 million AI Acceleration Fund. This fund will subsidise up to 50% of implementation costs for Kenyan companies adopting the AI-powered HR tools. The aim is to make advanced technology affordable for both large corporations and small and medium-sized enterprises.
Speaking at the event, leaders emphasised that AI is not about replacing workers but about freeing them from repetitive tasks. This allows employees to focus on more creative, strategic, and human-centred work. Many companies in Kenya still struggle with manual HR processes that waste time and increase costs. The new solutions promise to boost productivity, reduce errors, and improve employee experience.
Participants at the meeting included HR directors, CEOs, and industry representatives from various sectors. They explored real examples of how AI can help with talent management, compliance, and building a more agile workforce in a fast-changing economy.
For many Kenyan businesses, especially SMEs, adopting new technology has often been expensive and complicated. This partnership removes some of those barriers by offering practical support and local expertise. It also aligns with Kenya’s broader digital economy goals, where technology is seen as a key driver for job creation and competitiveness in the region.
KEPSA, as the voice of the private sector, continues to champion initiatives that prepare Kenyan companies for the future of work. Factorial brings international best practices while adapting solutions to local needs.
As Africa’s digital transformation gathers pace, events like this show growing momentum among business leaders to use AI responsibly. The focus remains on creating workplaces that are more efficient, inclusive, and ready for tomorrow’s challenges.
The partnership is expected to roll out across multiple industries in the coming months, with more training sessions and pilot programmes planned for Kenyan companies.
