Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris has urged Nigerians to remain hopeful, united and committed to the country as Nigeria marks its 66th Independence Anniversary.

Idris made the call in his Independence Day message on Thursday, encouraging citizens to continue praying for leaders at all levels and contribute to national development.

The governor said the anniversary provided an opportunity for Nigerians to reflect on the country’s journey since independence and renew their commitment to its progress.

He called for continued unity among citizens, stressing the importance of peaceful coexistence and collective responsibility in building the nation.

Idris also urged Nigerians to remain hopeful despite the challenges facing the country, saying citizens should continue to support efforts aimed at improving the nation.

He encouraged leaders at different levels of government to remain committed to their responsibilities and work towards improving the welfare of the people.

The governor extended his congratulations to Nigerians at home and abroad on the 66th anniversary and called for continued prayers for peace and stability.

He said the country’s progress would require the collective efforts of citizens, political leaders and other stakeholders working towards a common national goal.
