KEBBI GOVERNOR SIGNS N43BN REVISED 2025 BUDGET INTO LAW
Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, has signed into law the revised 2025 Appropriation Bill worth N43 billion, following its approval by the State House of Assembly.
The bill was formally presented to the governor at the Government House, Birnin Kebbi, by the Speaker of the Assembly, Rt. Hon. Muhammad Usman Zuru, alongside other members of the legislature.
During the presentation, lawmakers also submitted the adopted Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) and Fiscal Strategy Paper (FSP) for 2026–2028 to the governor for implementation. They further passed a resolution requesting the renaming of Government Day Secondary School, Tondi Tsamiya, to Sarki Muhammad Zayyanu Abdullahi Day School, in honour of the Emir of Yauri.
Governor Idris, while confirming his assent, said the revised budget reflects a collective resolve between the executive and legislature to advance the state’s development agenda. He stressed that the N43 billion budget would support key projects aimed at boosting infrastructure, enhancing service delivery, and ensuring that citizens enjoy the dividends of democracy.
