KANO DECLARES SALLAH HOLIDAY FOR PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS
The government of Kano has announced a Sallah break for primary and secondary schools across the state ahead of the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.
Education authorities said the temporary closure is intended to allow students, teachers and families participate fully in the religious festivities.
According to officials, all public and private primary and secondary schools in the state are expected to comply with the holiday directive and resume academic activities on the scheduled return date.
The government noted that the break forms part of routine adjustments to the academic calendar during major religious celebrations observed nationwide.
Parents and guardians have also been advised to ensure students return promptly after the holiday to avoid disruption to ongoing academic activities.
The announcement comes as Muslim faithful across Nigeria prepare for the Eid-el-Kabir celebration, one of the most significant festivals in the Islamic calendar.
School administrators are expected to communicate resumption details and other academic updates to students and parents before the holiday begins.
