KANO APC DENIES REPORTS OF WITHDRAWING SUPPORT FOR TINUBU’S RE-ELECTION BID

The All Progressives Congress (Kano State Chapter) has dismissed reports claiming that it withdrew support for President Bola Tinubu’s second-term ambition.

In a statement issued on Saturday by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Auwalu Abdullahi, the party described the report as false, misleading, and an attempt to create division within its ranks.

The statement specifically refuted claims made by a group identified as the Arewa APC Forum, Kano State Chapter, insisting that the group is not recognised by the party structure.

According to the party, no official organ or legitimate leadership body within the APC in Kano has made any decision to withdraw support for President Tinubu.

The statement read in part that the party remains fully committed to the president’s administration and its ongoing reform agenda.

It also accused unnamed individuals and groups of deliberately spreading misinformation to cause confusion and disunity within the party.

The Kano APC, under the leadership of Umar Doguwa, urged members of the public to disregard the claims, describing them as the work of “mischief-makers.”

Reaffirming its position, the party stated that it continues to stand firmly behind President Tinubu’s leadership, adding that his administration is focused on economic reforms, governance improvements, and national development.

The APC further stressed that the alleged signatories behind the withdrawal statement are not recognised stakeholders of the party at any level in Kano State.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
