KADUNA HAJJ AGENCY CLEARS AIR ON ANIMAL SACRIFICES, VOWS COMPLIANCE
The Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has clarified concerns surrounding animal sacrifices during Hajj operations, assuring pilgrims and the public that all procedures will fully comply with Islamic teachings and Saudi Arabian regulations.
The agency made the clarification following growing public questions about how sacrifice-related rites are managed during the pilgrimage period.
According to officials, arrangements for the 2026 Hajj exercise have been structured to ensure strict adherence to approved guidelines, with no deviation from established religious and administrative standards.
The agency explained that animal sacrifices are carried out through authorised channels in line with Saudi authorities’ framework, ensuring transparency and proper documentation for pilgrims.
It also stressed that Kaduna pilgrims will not be involved in any unauthorized or unsafe practices, adding that all rites will be supervised by qualified religious and administrative personnel.
The agency reassured intending pilgrims that their welfare remains a top priority, including proper coordination of rituals, accommodation, transportation, and health support during the Hajj period.
Officials further urged the public to disregard rumours suggesting irregularities in the handling of sacrifice procedures, describing such claims as misleading.
The statement reaffirmed Kaduna State’s commitment to maintaining a well-organised and spiritually fulfilling Hajj experience for all its pilgrims.
