Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has received 183 residents who were abducted and later rescued after spending 19 days in captivity.

Speaking while welcoming the returnees on Thursday, the governor assured them of the state government’s full commitment to their safety, rehabilitation, and the long-term security of their community.

Governor Sani disclosed that the victims were successfully rescued on Wednesday through the coordinated efforts of various security agencies.

He explained that the returnees would be provided with temporary accommodation within the state, where they would undergo thorough medical examinations and psychological support before being reunited with their community.

The governor further assured them that the government would assist in restoring their livelihoods, particularly by supporting small-scale businesses to help them rebuild their lives.

He reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to collaborate with security agencies, community leaders, religious groups, and other stakeholders to ensure lasting peace in Tudun Wali and across Kaduna State.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
