Popular actress Juliana Olayode, widely known as Toyo Baby from the hit series Jenifa’s Diary, has voiced serious concerns over the growing sexual activity among teenagers, describing it as “alarming” and calling for parents to step up their guidance.

In a heartfelt post on Instagram, Olayode lamented the explicit conversations she now hears from teenagers, saying it often leaves her shocked and heartbroken. According to her, too many young people are being misled into thinking that experimenting sexually while they’re still young is harmless.

“What is your body count? The things I hear these days, especially from teenagers, makes me speechless and breaks my heart,” she wrote. “Some people say, ‘Enjoy your life while you’re young, make all the mistakes now’— I don’t agree, especially when it comes to sₑx.”

The actress stressed that sₑx is not just a fun physical act, but a spiritual matter meant strictly for marriage. She explained that the consequences go far deeper than most people like to admit.

“There are certain things I still can’t bring myself to do because I keep hearing my mother’s voice in my head,” she revealed, attributing her own strong values to her mother’s firm upbringing.

Quoting Proverbs 22:6, Olayode warned that giving children too much freedom without solid moral grounding could backfire badly. “If we are not intentional about the way we raise our children, we won’t be happy about the kind of adults this generation will produce,” she cautioned.

The actress concluded by urging adults not to enable questionable behavior among teens. “If we can’t correct them, let us at least not support them,” she said.

Olayode’s post has since sparked conversations online, with many agreeing that society needs to do more to protect young people from misinformation and destructive choices.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
