JIGAWA REDUCES 2026 HAJJ FARE TO N7.67 MILLION
The Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced a reduction in the 2026 Hajj fare, bringing the cost down from N8,457,685 to N7,669,769 per pilgrim. The announcement was made in a press statement signed by the Board’s spokesman, Habibu Yarima.
The Director General of the Commission, Alhaji Ahmed Umar Labbo, disclosed that the N787,916 reduction was made possible through the intervention of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Labbo, who is currently in the Holy Land to secure accommodation for Jigawa pilgrims in Mecca, assured that all arrangements for the 2026 Hajj exercise have been finalized.
He also reminded intending pilgrims that Hajj fare collection will close next month, urging those yet to make their deposits to do so promptly to ensure timely processing of their visas.
Alhaji Labbo praised Governor Umar Namadi for his continuous support and cooperation with the Commission, which has helped streamline preparations for the pilgrimage.
