JAMB, EFCC CALL FOR CONTINUED NATIONAL PROGRESS
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission have congratulated Nigerians on the country’s 66th Independence Anniversary and called for continued efforts towards national development.
JAMB, in its Independence Day message on Thursday, reflected on Nigeria’s transformation over the years, highlighting the adoption of technology in its examination processes.
The board noted that its transition from paper-based examinations to computer-based testing reflected some of the broader technological changes experienced in the country since independence.
JAMB said the anniversary provided an opportunity to recognise Nigeria’s achievements while looking ahead to future possibilities.
Similarly, EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyede said Nigeria had recorded considerable progress in nation-building since gaining independence.
Olukoyede said independence had given Nigerians the opportunity to exercise liberty and self-determination while building a country based on shared national values.
He urged Nigerians to remain committed to the country’s development and contribute to efforts aimed at strengthening its institutions and economy.
The two institutions used the anniversary to encourage citizens to reflect on Nigeria’s progress and support continued efforts towards building a more prosperous nation.
JAMB also wished Nigerians a happy Independence Day as the country marked 66 years of independence.
