JAIZ BANK TO ROLL OUT COLLATERAL-FREE LOANS FOR SMES
Jaiz Bank has announced plans to introduce collateral-free loan schemes aimed at supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across Nigeria.
The initiative is designed to improve access to finance for small business owners who often face challenges in meeting traditional banking requirements for credit facilities.
According to the bank, the scheme will focus on empowering entrepreneurs, boosting productivity, and driving job creation within key sectors of the economy.
It noted that the programme aligns with its broader mandate of promoting inclusive banking and expanding financial access to underserved segments of the population.
Bank officials said risk-sharing mechanisms and alternative credit assessment models would be used to determine eligibility under the new lending structure.
Financial analysts say improved access to SME financing could stimulate economic growth by enabling businesses to expand operations and increase output.
Stakeholders have welcomed the initiative, describing it as a positive step toward addressing Nigeria’s long-standing credit gap for small businesses.
The bank reaffirmed its commitment to supporting sustainable economic development through innovative financial solutions tailored to the needs of entrepreneurs.
