IVD ARRESTED AT LAGOS AIRPORT WHILE HEADING TO QATAR WEDDING WITH BLESSING CEO
Drama at Lagos Airport: IVD Arrested Over Ongoing Court Case Linked to Late Wife’s Death
Popular Nigerian auto dealer, Ikechukwu Ogbonna—better known as IVD—has reportedly been arrested at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos while attempting to travel to Qatar. Sources say the trip was connected to his upcoming wedding with controversial relationship coach, Blessing CEO.
According to reports, IVD was detained on Friday by the Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP) due to an unresolved domestic violence case surrounding the death of his late wife, Bimbo Ogbonna.
The news, which quickly gained traction on social media, was confirmed by journalist Stella Dimoko-Korkus, who wrote on Instagram:
“The domestic violence case against IVD regarding his late wife is still in court. He is not supposed to leave Nigeria until the case is concluded.”
Bimbo Ogbonna tragically passed away in October 2022 after sustaining severe injuries from a fire incident during a domestic dispute at their home in Lagos. The incident sparked widespread outrage and public calls for justice.
Following investigations, the Lagos State Government charged IVD with involuntary manslaughter, a charge he still faces under case number LD/21055C/23.
This latest arrest serves as a stark reminder that high-profile individuals are not above the law, especially in ongoing legal matters tied to serious allegations like domestic violence.
As of now, IVD remains in custody, and the court case is still pending.
