England forward and Barcelona loanee, Marcus Rashford, has opened up about his struggles with consistency, pointing fingers at Manchester United’s unstable environment as a major reason for his decline in form over the years.

Once seen as a future legend at Old Trafford, Rashford’s career has taken a turbulent turn, with the winger now on loan at Barcelona after a mixed spell at Aston Villa last season.

Despite rediscovering glimpses of his brilliance in LaLiga — performances that earned him a recall to the England national team — Rashford admitted that maintaining top form has been difficult due to years of instability at his parent club.

Speaking to ITV during the international break, the 27-year-old explained:

“I feel like I’ve been in an inconsistent environment for a very, very long time. So it’s even more difficult to be consistent.

I think consistency is what I need to bring into my game. And yeah, I’m looking to do that.

In order to be consistent, you need consistent variables — in your life and in the way you train.”

Rashford added that he remains focused on improving his game and returning to his best form, especially with England already becoming the first European nation to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.

The forward’s comments have reignited debate among fans and pundits about Manchester United’s managerial instability and culture, which many believe has hindered player development over recent years.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
