IRAN PREPARES MULTI-DAY STATE FUNERAL FOR LATE SUPREME LEADER AYATOLLAH ALI KHAMENEI

Iran is making final preparations for a multi-day state funeral for the late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was assassinated in February 2026 during the US-Israel conflict with Iran.

According to state media, the elaborate ceremonies will begin on July 4 in Tehran and conclude with burial on July 9 in his hometown of Mashhad, following processions in Qom and symbolic events in Iraq’s holy cities of Najaf and Karbala.
