INDOMIE HIGHLIGHTS 18 YOUNG NIGERIAN HEROES

The 2026 Indomie Heroes Awards has shortlisted 18 young Nigerians whose stories of courage, compassion and creativity have earned them national recognition.

The finalists emerged after almost 500 entries were submitted and reviewed as part of the 18th edition of the awards organised by Dufil Prima Foods, makers of Indomie Instant Noodles. The submissions were assessed alongside supporting evidence, including photographs, videos, testimonials and other documentation.

The 18 finalists were selected across three categories: Physical Bravery, Social Bravery and Intellectual Bravery.

A five-member judging panel reviewed the shortlisted stories, with judges considering factors such as the evidence supporting each story, the impact of the young person's actions, courage, resilience, empathy and ability to think beyond themselves.

Members of the panel described the judging process as challenging because of the strength of the entries, particularly in the Social Bravery category.

The awards are designed to bring attention to young Nigerians whose positive actions might otherwise go unnoticed and to encourage values such as courage, compassion and innovation.

With the judging process completed, attention now turns to the announcement of the 2026 winners.

The Indomie Heroes Awards, which began in 2008, is now in its 18th year and has continued to recognise young Nigerians for exceptional acts of bravery and social impact.
