INCLUSIVE GOVERNANCE, COMMUNITY OWNERSHIP KEY TO KADUNA PEACE – GOV
Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has emphasised that inclusive governance and active community ownership are vital to achieving sustainable peace and security in the state.
The governor made the assertion on Wednesday while addressing a high-level security and peace-building stakeholders’ meeting in Kaduna.
“Government cannot do it alone. Lasting peace requires genuine inclusivity, justice, and the active participation of communities, traditional rulers, and religious leaders,” Governor Sani said.
He highlighted several initiatives by his administration, including equitable distribution of development projects, youth empowerment programmes, and continuous dialogue with various interest groups.
The governor called for stronger collaboration between security agencies and local communities in intelligence gathering and early warning systems.
Stakeholders at the meeting commended the governor’s approach and pledged continued support towards restoring peace across Kaduna State, which has been battling banditry, kidnapping, and ethno-religious tensions for years.
