‘IMPERSONATOR USING MY NAME FOR UK JOB SCAM’ — BUKKY WRIGHT RAISES ALARM
Veteran Nollywood actress Bukky Wright has alerted the public to beware of fraudsters operating fake social media accounts in her name to perpetrate scams.
In a post shared on her verified Instagram page on Thursday evening, the UK-based actress disowned a recent post advertising a fake UK job vacancy, describing it as fraudulent and an attempt to defraud unsuspecting fans.
Bukky Wright urged her followers and the general public to exercise caution, emphasizing that she would never solicit money, request personal information, or engage in private conversations outside her official page.
“Please be cautious of fake accounts pretending to be me. I never requested money. I will never request personal information or private chat on any other account. This is my main page,” she warned.
She added that her team discovered the fraudulent job post circulating under her name and immediately took steps to have it removed.
“A post was made on my account offering a job vacancy in the UK and we realized it was fraudulent. Please disregard. Your safety and trust mean so much to me,” the actress stated.
Bukky Wright also advised her fans to verify information from her verified accounts before responding to any offers or messages purportedly from her.
