I’M NOT SICK, JUST GETTING FIT – ICE PRINCE OPENS UP ABOUT HIS WEIGHT LOSS
Nigerian rapper and singer Ice Prince has addressed concerns about his recent drastic weight loss, clarifying that he is not suffering from any illness.
The “Oleku” hitmaker explained that his previous weight gain was the result of an unhealthy lifestyle, which he decided to change after receiving several concerns from family and friends.
Sharing his experience on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, Ice Prince revealed that music producer Chopstix played a major role in helping him begin his fitness journey by motivating him to start exercising.
He wrote:
“God so good inna me life… A short story!
I was literally about to explode… no sickness (Bless God), just bad habits and choices. But then Chopstix and Dami said, ‘Let’s lose the belly, Ice,’ and that really sparked something in my brain that got me activated. From that meeting, my brother Chopstix started coming to my house every day after dinner, and we’d walk around my estate for an hour. You know chopper gist normally for PhD students lol. Our talks during those walks are priceless to me — just like every other thing we’ve both shared since we were kids. Buss a shot fa ma true fren.”
In recent times, several Nigerian celebrities have drawn attention for their significant weight transformations.
In 2022, actress Eniola Badmus shed about 80 kilograms, dropping from 170kg to 90kg. Earlier this year, actress Mercy Johnson-Okojie also faced public speculation over her own drastic weight loss. She later clarified that it was linked to a thyroid surgery, which initially sparked health concerns.
