I’M NOT SICK – ICE PRINCE EXPLAINS REASON BEHIND HIS DRASTIC WEIGHT LOSS
Nigerian rapper Ice Prince Zamani has broken his silence on his sudden weight loss, assuring fans that he is not battling any illness.
The ‘Oleku’ crooner took to X (formerly Twitter) on Monday to explain that his transformation was a result of shedding excess belly fat caused by unhealthy habits and lifestyle choices.
According to him, concern from close friends and family members inspired him to take his health seriously. He revealed that music producer Chopstix played a major role in encouraging him to begin regular walks and workouts.
“God so good inna me life… A short story! I was literally about to explode.. no sickness (Bless God) just bad habits and choices, but then Chopstix and Dami said ‘let’s lose the belly Ice,’ and that really sparked something in my brain that got me activated,” Ice Prince wrote.
He added that Chopstix often joined him for evening walks around his estate, where they would chat and bond over life and music.
“From that meeting, my brother Chopstix started coming to my house every day after dinner, and we both walked my estate for an hour… our talks during those walks are priceless to me,” he added.
Ice Prince’s explanation comes amid public curiosity over the visible change in his appearance.
In recent years, several Nigerian celebrities have drawn attention for dramatic weight transformations, including Eniola Badmus, who lost 80kg in 2022, and Mercy Johnson-Okojie, whose weight loss earlier this year sparked health speculation following her thyroid surgery.
For Ice Prince, however, the journey has been about discipline, health, and self-improvement—not illness.
