Popular Nigerian content creator and TikTok streamer, Jarvis, has shared her struggles with how her relationship with fellow entertainer, Peller, is affecting her personal brand and self-worth.

Speaking during a live TikTok session with fellow streamer Sandra Benede, Jarvis revealed that she has had to compromise many of her personal values and boundaries just to keep the relationship going. According to her, she often ends up doing things she dislikes simply to please Peller, which has taken a toll on how people see her.

“In the beginning, it was hard accepting his character,” she said. “Now I have tolerated so many things that don’t suit my brand, things I normally wouldn’t do, but I’ve done them with him online. Even when I complain before we post something, he will beg me, and out of love I’ll agree. Then once it’s online, people start dragging me.”

Jarvis also lamented how it’s usually women who bear the brunt of such situations. She noted that while men can easily move on, women are often left with the stigma and public judgment.

“Who is losing value? Is it me or him? It’s women that lose value now; men don’t. He can decide tomorrow to go to his village and marry one Ikorodu girl, and life continues. But it’s the lady who ends up disgraced,” she said.

Adding to her frustration, Jarvis pointed out that some people accuse her of trying to compete with Peller, simply because she engages in similar online activities.

Her candid outpouring has sparked conversations on social media about the sacrifices women often make in relationships, and how societal standards tend to judge them more harshly than men. Many fans have praised Jarvis for speaking up, urging her to prioritize her own happiness and brand.
