Nigerian singer, Stanley Omah Didia, popularly known as Omah Lay, has sparked concern among fans after revealing that he is once again battling depression.

In a series of posts on Snapchat, the Soso crooner hinted that his struggles are linked to issues surrounding his recording contract and business dealings in the music industry.

The singer expressed frustration, blaming his former manager and his younger self for agreeing to certain contracts.

He wrote:
“Fk contracts. Fk labels. Fk the music business. Fk my younger self. F**k my manager. God please, I’m losing my mind again.”

This emotional outburst comes just weeks after Omah Lay ended his professional relationship with his manager, Muyiwa Awoniyi. While Awoniyi claimed on social media that their split was amicable, the singer’s label mate, Kaestyle, alleged that Awoniyi was actually dismissed.

Omah Lay has previously spoken openly about his battle with depression. His debut album, Boy Alone, released on July 15, 2022, featured themes of mental health struggles. Days after its release, he disclosed on social media that his depression worsened following an intimate encounter with his therapist.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
