I’M DOING WELL, MUSIALA REASSURES FANS AFTER NEUROLOGICAL DIAGNOSIS
Bayern Munich midfielder Jamal Musiala has reassured fans about his health after revealing that he has been diagnosed with brief, temporary episodes of absence linked to a neurological dysfunction.
The Bayern Munich star addressed supporters on Instagram on Tuesday, saying he was doing well and grateful for the messages and support he had received.
Musiala explained that the episodes could be responsible for some worrying moments witnessed during recent matches, including games against Leipzig and Heidenheim.
He said the episodes might appear frightening to fans but were currently part of his everyday life.
The 23-year-old revealed that he is receiving specialist medical care and remains optimistic about his recovery, adding that Bayern Munich and people close to him have supported him throughout the process.
According to Musiala, there is “no additional health risk” beyond the condition he described.
He also said that, following regular consultations with specialists and clearance from neurological experts, he had decided to continue playing football.
Musiala said continuing his normal life and playing the sport he loves was part of how he wanted to approach his recovery.
He added that he has a positive feeling about his condition and believes he is on a good path.
The Bayern midfielder said remaining active with his teammates and pursuing victories with the club, alongside the support of fans, was helping him through the recovery process.
Musiala also appealed to supporters to respect his privacy, saying he preferred to keep further details about his condition within his close circle, Bayern Munich and his medical specialists.
He thanked fans for their continued support and said he hoped his message would help them better understand his situation.
