“I’LL BEAT YOU MERCILESSLY” — STANLEY NWABALI WARNS LEGE MIAMI OVER COMMENTS ABOUT HIS LATE FATHER
Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has issued a stern warning to popular actor and matchmaker Kehinde Adams, widely known as Lege Miami, over comments the entertainer made regarding his late father.
Lege Miami recently took to social media to criticise several Super Eagles players following Nigeria’s failure to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. While he praised Victor Osimhen, Benjamin Fredrick, and Calvin Bassey, he harshly criticised others — including Nwabali — despite the goalkeeper saving two penalties in the playoff loss to DR Congo.
In one of his videos, Lege Miami referenced Nwabali’s late father, who was recently buried. This remark provoked an angry response from the goalkeeper.
Taking to his Instagram story, Nwabali wrote:
“Lege Miami, remove my late dad’s name from your mouth if you are doing your content.
If you don’t learn to respect people’s dad, you should respect the dead.
I’m not your regular type of footballer — I go beat you mercilessly.
You’re free to insult me, but remove my late dad’s name from your mouth.”
Nwabali’s warning has since sparked mixed reactions online, with many Nigerians calling for restraint while others criticised Lege Miami’s style of commentary, which often involves personal attacks.
