IBRAHIM CHATTA BECOMES NOLLYWOOD’S HIGHEST-PAID ACTOR, NOW CHARGES N5 MILLION PER ROLE
Nigerian actor Ibrahim Chatta has become the focus of attention following revelations about his impressive earnings in the movie industry.
Veteran actor Mustapha Bakare Otolo disclosed in a trending interview that Chatta currently earns as much as N5 million to feature in a single film, making him one of the most sought-after actors in Nollywood.
Otolo, speaking in a viral video, explained that while many experienced actors still earn between N250,000 and N300,000 per role, Chatta’s value has significantly increased due to his versatility and demand.
“If Ibrahim Chatta appears on a movie set, he has been paid N5 million. That’s his current rate, and he’s now the highest-paid actor. He can appear in up to 20 productions in a month. I recently featured him in my film Jigi, shot in Ogbomoso,” Otolo said.
He added that the wide pay gap between younger, high-demand actors and older veterans makes it difficult for many experienced performers to finance and produce cinema-standard movies.
