Global pop star Taylor Swift has assured her fans that marriage won’t stop her from making music, putting to rest speculations that she might retire from the industry after tying the knot.

The ‘Life Of A Showgirl’ crooner made this clear during an interview with BBC Radio 2, where she addressed rumours suggesting that her recent engagement to American football star Travis Kelce could mark the end of her music career.

Swift firmly dismissed the claims, saying that marriage is not a reason to quit one’s passion or career, especially when one’s partner supports their dreams.

“It’s not why people get married, so they can quit their job. Oh, I know they love to panic sometimes, but I love the person I am with because he loves what I do and how fulfilled I am by making art and music,” she said.

The singer emphasized that her relationship with Kelce is built on mutual respect and encouragement, adding that her creativity and passion for music remain stronger than ever.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce got engaged in August 2025, two years after they reportedly began dating in the summer of 2023.

Fans across the world have since expressed excitement over her reassurance, praising her for staying true to her art and independence.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
