Award-winning South African DJ and record producer, Black Coffee, has made a bold declaration that he has no plans to remarry.

The Grammy-winning artist, who is a father of four, revealed this during a recent episode of Podcast and Chill, explaining that he now fully understands himself and refuses to be influenced by societal expectations.

“I won’t get married again. I’m clear about that because I am now in a better space in understanding who I am. I also understand the kind of pressure society puts you in without ever backing you up,”
Black Coffee said.

He shared that his parents had once pressured him to settle down after he gained fame and financial success, but he now realises that many of those societal pressures did not align with his personal happiness.

“As soon as my career took off, everyone was wowed. I bought my first house and car, and they [my parents] started asking, ‘When are you getting a wife?’” he added.

The superstar explained that with time, he learned to prioritise his peace, individuality, and career over social conventions.

Black Coffee was previously married to actress Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa, but the pair separated in 2019 following an infidelity scandal. Their union produced two children, while the DJ has two more from earlier relationships.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
