Popular Nollywood actress and TV host, Nancy Isime, has opened up about her difficult journey as a teenager trying to make ends meet in the entertainment industry.

In an emotional post on social media, Nancy revealed that at just 17 years old, she was working long nights as a model and usher, often left stranded after events with no transport fare home. She shared how she had to walk long distances or sleep on benches, chairs, or even rugs at event venues just to get by.

“My family was worried, especially my dad, but I’ve always been the type that needed to figure things out my own way,” she wrote.

During this trying period, Nancy said she reached out to singer Yemi Alade, whom she had met through mutual friends, and asked for a place to stay. Yemi welcomed her without hesitation, offering her peace, warmth, and shelter for several weeks.

“I stayed for weeks and this woman NEVER EVER complained,” Nancy recalled. “The peace was too much. She’s so kind and full of positive energy.”

Nancy expressed her deep gratitude to Yemi Alade, describing her as one of the most generous people she’s ever met. Years later, after getting into university and securing her own apartment in the same building as Yemi, their friendship only grew stronger.

“My padi @yemialade, I dey for you for life,” she declared.
