Nigerian gospel singer Judikay has shared her deeply personal experience of suffering six miscarriages, revealing that the most recent occurred in February 2025.

In a video posted on her Instagram page, the artiste spoke openly about the physical pain and emotional toll of the loss, which happened after she had passed the three-month stage of pregnancy.

Recounting the experience, she described how what began as mild discomfort quickly escalated into a devastating situation.

“In February 2025, I experienced a pain that almost crushed me. I had been pregnant for over three months. One day, while going about my routine, I started having cramps,” she said.

“At first, I thought it was normal. Then I noticed slight bleeding and assumed it was just spotting, something many women who have been pregnant can relate to.

“But soon after, I felt the urge to use the bathroom, and what I expected to be urine was blood. It didn’t stop—it kept flowing. At that moment, I knew what it meant, and I was devastated.

“This loss, coming after three months, marked the sixth miscarriage I’ve experienced.”

She further revealed that she was rushed to the hospital, where doctors performed a dilation and curettage (D&C) procedure after diagnosing a missed miscarriage.

Reflecting on the aftermath, Judikay said she initially tried to remain strong but later found herself overwhelmed by grief, particularly during quiet moments at night.

“I was taken to the hospital, and a D&C was carried out because it was a missed miscarriage,” she said.

“When I got home, I thought I was fine. I had cried and expressed my pain while everything was happening.

“When people asked, I would say, ‘God gets the glory.’

“But in the silence of the night, I felt a pain I couldn’t explain. I would cry deeply and ask, ‘Jesus, where are you?’”

Known for songs like “More Than Gold” and “Songs of Angel: Ndimozi Binigwe,” Judikay married Anselem Opara in 2020, and the couple welcomed their first child in 2022.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
