“I COULD HAVE DIED IN JUNE” – ADESUA ETOMI OPENS UP ABOUT NEAR-DEATH EXPERIENCE
Popular Nollywood actress Adesua Etomi-Wellington has opened up about a terrifying health crisis that nearly cost her life earlier this year.
In an emotional post shared on her Instagram, Adesua revealed that she went through a life-threatening medical emergency in June while in the United Kingdom with her husband, Banky W, and their two sons.
“I could have lost my life in June,” she wrote. “What I went through was horrific and ended with an unplanned surgery. Strangely, the surgery itself was the least dramatic part of it all.”
The Sugar Rush actress explained that the health scare happened while she was in the UK for two speaking engagements. According to her, divine intervention was the only reason she survived.
“If even one single detail had been different, I wouldn’t be here today. When I think about it, I shudder,” she confessed.
Adesua said the experience profoundly strengthened her faith in God and renewed her gratitude for life, adding that she now sees every new day as a blessing.
“There’s nothing anyone can tell me—God is real,” she declared.
She encouraged her fans and followers to value each moment and show compassion to others.
“Let’s choose to be softer, kinder, gentler, forgiving, patient, loving, and peaceful. I’ll never take another day for granted—neither should you,” she added.
Adesua’s story has since sparked an outpouring of love and empathy from fans and colleagues across social media, many thanking God for her recovery and praising her courage for sharing such a personal experience.
