Nigerian singer and songwriter Adekunle Gold has opened up about his deep commitment to family, saying his wife, Simi, and their daughter, Adejare, are the core of his life and inspiration.

Speaking on the NotJustOk podcast, the “Orente” crooner revealed that while he is passionate about his music career, being a good husband and father comes first.

“My family is my centre. I don’t joke with my family. I can afford to be a failed musician, not a failed father or a man. That’s not negotiable for me,” Adekunle Gold said.

He explained that one of his biggest life goals is to give his daughter a better upbringing than he had. According to him, his song “My Love Is The Same” was inspired by his drive to be a loving and responsible father.

“All I wanted to be is to do more for my own daughter because I can’t afford to bring her to the kind of life that I grew up living. It has to be way better. And that’s why I’m working hard,” he added.

Fans have praised Adekunle Gold for his grounded outlook on life and his devotion to family values, describing him as a model artist who blends success with responsibility.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
