HOTSPOT EXPANDS BROADBAND, 4G SERVICES TO 500 COMMUNITIES
Hotspot has expanded its broadband and 4G services to about 500 communities across Nigeria as part of efforts to improve internet access and support digital connectivity.
The company said the deployment is aimed at extending reliable broadband services to communities that have limited access to high-speed internet.
The expansion covers the deployment of broadband infrastructure and 4G services designed to provide individuals, businesses and other users with improved access to digital services.
The development comes as demand for internet connectivity continues to grow, driven by increased use of online education, digital payments, remote work, e-commerce and other internet-based services.
Hotspot said expanding network coverage would help more communities participate in the digital economy and provide residents with greater access to online opportunities.
Improved broadband connectivity can also support businesses by enabling faster communication, access to digital tools and participation in wider markets.
Nigeria continues to face challenges related to broadband access, particularly in underserved and rural communities where infrastructure deployment can be difficult and costly.
The company’s expansion is expected to contribute to efforts to reduce the digital divide by extending connectivity to more locations.
Hotspot said it would continue investing in network infrastructure and expanding its services as demand for broadband and mobile connectivity increases across the country.
