HOME EAGLES CAPTAIN JUNIOR NDUKA JOINS IRAQI CLUB ERBIL FC
Captain of the home-based Super Eagles, Junior Nduka, has sealed a permanent move to Iraqi Premier League side Erbil FC.
The 23-year-old centre-back signed a three-year contract with the club after leaving NPFL champions Remo Stars, where he was instrumental in their historic title-winning campaign last season.
Nduka’s move comes as part of a wave of departures from Remo Stars, following the exits of key players like Kayode Bankole, Sikiru Alimi, Franck Mawuena, Fabian Nworie, and Seun Ogunribide.
Renowned for his calm presence, defensive strength, and leadership qualities, Nduka has earned respect both at the club and national level. He also played every minute of Nigeria’s three matches at the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN), further cementing his reputation as a reliable defender.
His switch to Erbil FC marks a new chapter in his career, as he looks to test himself outside Nigeria and make an impact on the Asian football scene.
