‘HAVING ONE WIFE IS LIKE STANDING ON ONE LEG’ – NED NWOKO SPEAKS ON MARITAL CRISIS WITH REGINA DANIELS
Senator Ned Nwoko, Nigerian politician and husband of Nollywood star Regina Daniels, has sparked online debate after describing monogamy as “standing on one leg.”
Speaking during an interview with Seun Okinbaloye on Channels TV on Sunday night, the lawmaker, who is currently in the spotlight over reports of a marital crisis with his fourth wife, defended his decision to practice polygamy.
According to Nwoko, he pities men who have only one wife, arguing that having multiple wives brings stability.
“Just imagine telling you to stand on one leg — you know how difficult it is. But it is much more balanced to stand on two, three, or four.
I feel sorry for those with one wife. I don’t have any regrets, and I will do the same thing again,” Nwoko said.
His comments come amid growing rumours of separation from Regina Daniels, following the actress’s viral video accusing the senator of domestic violence. In response, Nwoko alleged that Regina was battling substance abuse.
Adding to the speculation, Regina Daniels on Sunday evening shared a photo of herself on a balcony, with the caption:
“I needed a roof over my head.”
The post has fueled widespread rumours that the actress has moved out of her marital home and possibly acquired a new house in Lagos State.
While neither party has officially confirmed a divorce, the couple’s public exchanges have continued to draw intense reactions online, reigniting the conversation around polygamy, gender roles, and modern marriage in Nigeria.
