GUNMEN KILL ONE, STEAL GOATS IN LATE-NIGHT ATTACK ON BENUE COMMUNITY
Tragedy struck Tse-Kwaso, Ukande, Torov in Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State on Wednesday night when unknown gunmen attacked the community, killing a resident and stealing livestock.
The victim, identified as Mr. Terngu Torwuhe, was reportedly shot dead by the armed assailants during the late-night raid. Eyewitnesses said the attackers also made away with several goats from the compound before fleeing into the night.
The incident, which occurred on August 13, 2025, has sparked fear among locals, who say insecurity in the area is becoming unbearable.
Community members have now called on security agencies and the Benue State Government to take urgent action to protect lives and property, warning that unchecked attacks could worsen the already tense situation.
