GUNMEN KILL ONE, ABDUCT FOUR IN FRESH BAUCHI ATTACKS
Gunmen have killed one person and abducted four others in separate attacks in Bauchi State, heightening security concerns in the North-East region.
The incidents occurred in different communities where armed assailants stormed residential areas, shooting sporadically before carting away their victims. Security agencies have launched manhunts for the perpetrators and are working to secure the release of the abducted persons.
The Bauchi State Police Command confirmed the attacks and assured residents of intensified patrols and intelligence operations to curb criminal activities. “We are doing everything possible to restore normalcy and bring the culprits to justice,” a police spokesperson said.
Community leaders have appealed to the government to strengthen security presence in vulnerable areas and provide support to affected families.
The attacks have raised fears of a resurgence of banditry and kidnapping in parts of Bauchi State.
