GUNMEN ATTACK KWARA FARM, KILL ONE, INJURE ANOTHER, ABDUCT ONE
Tragedy struck in the Lema community of Edu Local Government Area, Kwara State, when armed men attacked a farmland, killing one farmer, injuring another, and abducting one more.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama, who reported the incident on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday, said the attack took place around 12:41 p.m. on Thursday at Gaga farmland.
The victims — Mallam Sode Alhassan (42), Musa Adama (35), and Ndanuruh Aminu (30) — were working on their groundnut farm when gunmen armed with AK-47 rifles suddenly opened fire.
Alhassan was killed instantly, Aminu sustained a gunshot wound to the shoulder, and Adama was taken away by the attackers to an unknown location.
Security operatives later arrived at the scene. The injured farmer was taken to the General Hospital in Share for treatment, while the deceased’s body was deposited at the hospital’s mortuary.
A combined team of soldiers, police officers, vigilantes, and local hunters has been deployed to comb the surrounding bushes in search of the abducted victim and track down the attackers.
