GROUPS REJECT OBI’S CALL FOR TINUBU’S RESIGNATION, CITE CONSTITUTIONAL PROVISIONS

Several civic and political groups have criticised calls by former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi for President Bola Tinubu to resign, arguing that any challenge to a sitting president’s tenure must follow constitutional procedures.

The groups maintained that Nigeria’s democratic system provides clear legal and constitutional mechanisms for addressing grievances against elected officials, including oversight and judicial processes.
