GOVERNOR OKPEBHOLO NOMINATES THREE ADDITIONAL COMMISSIONERS IN EDO STATE
Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has forwarded the names of three additional commissioner-nominees for approval.
The Secretary to the Edo State Government, Barrister Umar Musa Ikhilor, disclosed the development in a statement on Friday in Benin City.
The new nominees are Dr. Elizabeth Ebosele, Hon. Christopher Ewere Okaeben, and Hon. Festus Odianosen Ebea. Their nomination brings the total number of commissioners so far appointed and nominated by the governor to 29.
Out of the earlier 26 nominees confirmed, only nine have so far been sworn in and assigned portfolios.
Hon. Festus Ebea, a former Deputy Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, represented Esan South East constituency, while Hon. Christopher Okaeben served as a member representing Oredo West constituency.
With these new additions, expectations are high on how the governor will shape his cabinet and assign key portfolios to drive his administration’s agenda.
