GOVERNOR AMUNEKE REVEALS PARTY OFFICIALS OFFERED HIM DOLLARS TO ALTER ANTI-GOVT SKITS

Popular comedian Kevin Chinedu, widely known as Kevinblak and famous for his satirical character Governor Amuneke, has revealed that officials of a political party once offered him dollars to tone down or change his skits criticising politicians and governance.

He disclosed during an interview on ARISE TV’s Arise 360, where he spoke about the pressure entertainers and content creators often face when using comedy to hold leaders accountable.

According to Chinedu, the offer came during a difficult period in his life shortly after his wife underwent a Caesarean section, when he was dealing with serious financial responsibilities.

He said the party officials promised to “change his life” financially and allegedly told him that some of his colleagues had already joined them.

Despite the pressure, the comedian said he rejected the offer and refused to compromise his principles.

Chinedu explained that throughout his career, he has avoided being influenced by money or engaging in anything that conflicts with his values.

He added that if he ever chooses to support any cause, it would be based on conviction rather than financial inducement.

When asked whether friends advised him to accept the money, he said those around him also shared similar principles and had likewise rejected similar offers.

The comedian did not reveal the identity of the political party involved, only referring to it jokingly as “Amuneke’s party.”

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
