Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) Nigeria has successfully connected several promising startups with investors and expanded their access to markets across Africa through its latest networking and mentorship programmes.

The initiative, which brought together entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and industry experts, facilitated pitch sessions, investment matching, and market entry discussions. GEN Nigeria Country Director, Ms. Aisha Bello, highlighted the importance of bridging the gap between innovative ideas and capital. “Our role is to create pathways for startups to scale and compete regionally,” she said.

Several startups in fintech, agritech, and healthtech secured funding commitments and strategic partnerships during the event. Participants also gained insights into regulatory requirements and market dynamics in different African countries.

The programme is part of GEN’s broader mission to foster entrepreneurship and innovation across the continent. Organisers plan to scale the initiative and organise more targeted sessions in the coming months.

Stakeholders have praised the effort, noting its potential to strengthen Nigeria’s startup ecosystem and promote intra-African trade and collaboration.
