GANDUJE SAYS NIGERIA IS EXPERIENCING STABILITY AS REFORMS CONTINUE
The All Progressives Congress National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, has emphasised the party’s dedication to achieving stability in governance and securing future electoral victories through fair and strategic means.
He made this known on Thursday during the APC National Summit held at the banquet hall of the State House, Abuja.
Ganduje highlighted the progress being made under President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, stating that the administration’s bold reforms have started yielding positive outcomes for Nigerians.
“Already, we are seeing signs of stability in macroeconomic indicators, improvement in oil revenue, and increased global investor interest,” he said.
He praised Tinubu’s vision to reposition Nigeria and reaffirmed APC’s commitment to economic revitalization, institutional renewal, and inclusive development.
“At the heart of our current political and developmental journey is the Renewed Hope Agenda, a bold and necessary blueprint put forth by our leader and President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“This agenda is not just a political slogan; it is a comprehensive vision aimed at resetting the foundations of governance, restoring economic vibrancy, and instilling a renewed sense of national purpose.
“Barely two years now into his administration, we can confidently say that Renewed Hope is no longer a vision on paper; it is a reality in motion.
“Therefore, we, as the governing party, must rise as the first and most steadfast defenders and implementers of this vision,” Ganduje noted.
He outlined the key reforms implemented by the Tinubu administration, including the removal of fuel subsidies, the unification of the foreign exchange market, targeted interventions in agriculture and infrastructure, and bold economic reforms aimed at fostering inclusive growth and long-term sustainability.
“Funds freed up and savings have been redirected towards critical sectors like healthcare, education, infrastructure, and security, and increased allocation to states and local governments,” he said.
He also cited the approval of a new National Minimum Wage from N30,000 to N70,000 for civil servants, the Conditional Cash Transfer of N25,000 to 15 million vulnerable households for three months, and the launch of the Compressed Natural Gas Initiative.
“Over 100,000 vehicles have been converted to use CNG, with plans to convert one million vehicles in the next three years,” Ganduje added.
On the political front, the APC National Chairman assured the party’s readiness for future elections, especially the 2027 general elections, through early and strategic preparations.
“We are committed to winning fairly, decisively, and strategically. These off-season contests are not just about states; they are a reflection of our national momentum and a rehearsal for total victory in 2027,” Ganduje declared.
He stated that the APC has already begun early preparations, including training party agents, policy think tanks, and campaign teams to adopt data-driven and result-oriented strategies.
“In the off-season elections recently held across key states, the APC demonstrated its strength, resilience, and growing national acceptance,” he said.
Looking ahead, Ganduje assured the party’s commitment to securing victories in the upcoming off-cycle elections in Anambra and Osun States, emphasizing the importance of grassroots mobilization, early engagement strategies, and strengthening state chapters.
“We are not leaving anything to chance. The APC is deploying early engagement strategies by training polling unit agents, legal teams, and mobilizing youth and women at the grassroots,” he concluded.
