Nigerian international Ademola Lookman has reportedly requested a total package valued at €12 million from Turkish champions Galatasaray, as the club considers reigniting their interest in the Atalanta forward during the January transfer window.

According to Turkish outlet Aksam Spor, Galatasaray are prepared to reopen discussions for the Super Eagles star should Barış Alper Yılmaz depart in January.

Reports indicate that Lookman has asked for €9 million in guaranteed wages and an additional €3 million in performance-related bonuses during preliminary talks.

“If Barış Alper is sold in the January transfer window, Galatasaray are expected to revive their pursuit of Atalanta’s Ademola Lookman. The Nigerian forward is said to be demanding a guaranteed salary of €9 million,” Aksam Spor stated.

Galatasaray had previously approached Lookman during the summer transfer window but paused negotiations after Atalanta placed a hefty €60 million price tag on the 28-year-old. However, the Istanbul club is now reportedly ready to revisit the deal once player sales create sufficient financial flexibility.

The Turkish champions have continued to monitor Lookman’s situation in Italy, with the winger remaining a key figure at Atalanta. Despite scoring just once in eight Serie A appearances this season, he remains one of the club’s most influential players.

Lookman, who helped Atalanta secure their historic UEFA Europa League triumph in the 2023/24 season, is under contract with the Serie A side until June 2027. His consistent performances in Europe have kept him high on Galatasaray’s transfer radar.
